DPC recognizes that people who feel safe in their work environment are more productive and more confident in their jobs. We are committed to creating that type of work environment. DPC is proud to have been nominated for the Houston Business Roundtable’s 2007 Safe Workplace Award. We have also received from ISTC for 2009 Safety Achievement Award for having worked 10 years without an OSHA lost workday case and also Safety Achievement Award for having sustained a “zero” recordable incidence rate for 3 consecutive years.

Some of the procedures put into place to help achieve a safe workplace are:
- Pre-job and pre-task planning through Job Hazard Analysisand Tool Box Meetings
- Orientation and training of all employees
- Near-miss and accident investigation
- Written substance abuse policy with Zero Tolerance
Subcontractors receive the same safety indoctrinations and adhere to the same standards as direct hire DPC employee. All employees on the job site are part of the DPC construction team, whether they are a direct employee or not. Safety is everyone’s business and nothing we do is worth getting someone injured.
